The Table
Since I never have enough heart teacups to go around, I mix and match with white, silver, gold, and pretty much anything else that will match the color scheme. This year I needed two tables plus my bar seating so I bought more heart place mats in rose gold.
I was delighted to make use of my new red heart appetizer plates which I discovered at one of my favorite stores, Tuesday Morning, which is unfortunately closing in Salem. I’m unbearably disappointed about this development.
I didn’t have time to make homemade sugar cookies this year but I found decorated and shrink-wrapped cookies at Ross. They were all snapped up immediately.
The Room
Since my hubby was on photo duty, there were no photos taken of the stairs or the library displays. I don’t recall changing things up too much this year.
I’m just happy we finally got out a box of decorations. I was so busy writing during the winter months that I had to skip Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Talk about depressing. Those are my favorite holidays!
I’m determined to pace out my writing better this year so I can enjoy my holidays the way I like to and at least put up one of my trees in December.
About the stairs, I bought a new string light on Amazon that you can program to do all sorts of different color displays. That way I don’t have to take it on and off every month, all I need to do is change the setting on my phone. I really like it. I can still supplement it with extra lights if I want to but for a basic color, it’s really nice to keep up year round.
