The Table
Apples in the fall are a no-brainer, especially if you live in the northwest. We have some of the most delicious apples you’ve ever eaten and can you say HUGE? The biggest apple I’ve ever seen in my life, I found at a little farmer’s market. It was about the size of a small pumpkin. I’m not even kidding. It took me two days to eat that thing, and it was so good!
Since moving to Oregon, I’ve become a bit of an apple snob. We have such a variety we can afford to be selective. My go-to favorite for just about everything is Honeycrisp. Second choice: Pink Lady.
For the table, I found an adorbs apple cookie jar, not one but two apple teapots with matchers teacups, and even a pack of back-to-school apple refrigerator magnets.
I kept everything red and green and accented with apple floral centerpieces I picked up from Home Goods.
Bonus: Each person got Ghiradelli’s Caramel Apple chocolates and a Tootsie Caramel Apple Pop.

For the chandelier, I strung together back-to-school apple cutouts in different colors and hung them with apple-themed paper signs.
The Decor
I was thrilled to discover these apple decorations at my local Home Goods store. They even had a gorgeous apple wreath I put up at the top of my staircase.

For the tea, I used my tiered wooden stands since they resembled the country store/farmhouse theme I used. This cute sign came from Michel’s.
The stairs were decorated with red, green, white, and checked bows and fans. I even found some apple wired ribbon, believe it or not. My new purchase is an LED light strand I can program with any combination of colors so I can keep it up year-round.

I used some extra ribbon to make an apple apron for the event.

Isn’t this apple wreath a beauty? I can’t believe I found apple wired ribbon. It came from a new favorite online store called CraftOutlet.com. You can get lost for hours looking through that place. To make these fat bows I’d suggest getting two and one-half inch wide ribbon. There are some great tutorials online that teach you how to make your own bows. I never buy them now. I like mine very full and the store employees are taught to make them skinny.
